Thorvald Bindesbøll, Important Art Pottery Vase for Kahler, Denmark

An important silver plate mounted ceramic vase by Thorvald Bindesbøll 1846-1908 for Herman A. Kahler pottery in Denmark. Dates to circa 1900-1910. The silver plate mounted neck with repousse ornaments in the Scandinavian arts and crafts style (skønvirke) and marked TB. The body with cow Horn applied bold and saturated blue and brown enamels, marked with incised Kahler monogram HAK on the bottom. Measures: H 8.25 inches, D 7 inches.
