Evelyn Metzger studied at the Vassar College and at the Art Students League. She had over 20 one woman shows at a host of galleries and museums. She painted in NY and Central Park, but she also travelled the world and worked in Argentina, Mexico, France and Africa. She is represented in the Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. and a gallery in the Metropolitan Museum is named after her.
