Cornelis Koppenol studied at the Artschool of The Hague. He lived in The Hague, Delft, Rijswijk and Nunspeet. When he was young he worked at “De Porceleyne Fles” in Delft. Favorite subject matters were portraits, still lives, beach views with figures, cattle markets, landscapes with people at work, farmhouse interiors with people etc. Koppenol was a teacher at the The Hague Artschool and is represented in the Haags Gemeentemuseum and Rijksmuseum Kroller-Muller in Otterlo.
