Joakim Skovgaard was one of his generation’s most important artist and exhibited at the Charlottenborg Palace after 1878, at the Jeu de Paume in Paris1928, at Glaspalast in Munich 1909 and 13 and a host of other important venues. Works by Skovgaard hang in the Skovgaard Museum in Denmark, the Royal Museum of Fine Art, the National Gallery in Oslo, the Hirschsprung Museum and 8 other art museums. This painting is authenticated by Bruun Rasmussen of Copenhagen the world’s leading experts of Danish Art.
